Rome, Italy. Nocturne view of Saint Peter in the Vatican and the Vatican Obelisk. An Egyptian Obelisk of the XIII century b.C., was brought by Caligola in Rome in 37 a.D., and moved by Domenico Fontana under pope Sixtus V in Piazza San Pietro. The obelisk is 25.5 metres high, the top of the cross over the obelisk is 41 metres high.
About Fabrizio Ruggeri
Roman, born 1966, photographer by vocation, I received my long-desired first camera when I was 7 years old, a Kodak Instamatic 36, and since then photography is one of my main interests in life. I work mainly in colour, using both digital and film, and develop my colour films by myself with a Jobo CPP-2 rotary processor. My main subjects of interest are urban landscape and sculpture, photographed with an explicitly descriptive attitude. My photographs have also been published in travel guides, newspapers and text books all over the world, from the US and Brazil to Japan.
